Design Crush – Tuxedo Sofa

The elegant lines of this style of sofa always draw my eye in any design. The tuxedo sofa is thought to have originated in the 1920’s in New York. What exactly is a tuxedo sofa? The basic requirement of any tuxedo sofa is that the arms of the sofa are the same height as its back. Pillows may be attached or loose depending upon the individual sofa; more often they are loose. The most modern version is a sofa with very straight, streamlined arms that are upholstered and may feature a slight amount of padding. Here are some examples…
